Miss Monique

Alesia Arkusha, born in 1992 in Kropyvnytskyi (formerly Kirovograd) in central Ukraine, started frequenting Kyiv clubs in her teens and gradually built a name on the Ukrainian progressive-house scene through the mid-2010s. The breakthrough came with her YouTube channel "Mind Games" (launched around 2016), which became an unexpected viral conduit for long-form progressive-house DJ mixes — a format that the platform's algorithm had not previously rewarded — and pushed her sets to millions of regular viewers worldwide. In 2019 she founded Siona Records, originally to develop young Ukrainian progressive-house producers and quickly evolving into one of the most respected international melodic-progressive imprints. The Siona anniversary livestream events — Kyiv, Ibiza, multiple US locations — became signature releases that captured a 2020s open-air progressive aesthetic that few other DJs were articulating at the same scale. The 2024-2025 Ibiza editions in particular have helped define what the modern Cercle / Hï Ibiza progressive sound is. Following an exceptional 2025, Miss Monique debuted in DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll at #75 and was voted the best Progressive/Melodic House artist at the 2025 DJ Awards. She is now in her second season as a Hï Ibiza resident with a Club Room takeover programmed for 2026, and her bookings calendar regularly covers Tomorrowland, EDC, the full European festival circuit, and major North American venues. Her catalogue includes original productions on Tomorrowland Music, Armada, Drumcode, and Black Hole Recordings, plus remixes for David Guetta, Moby, and Madonna — work that puts her squarely in the bracket of progressive-house artists who have crossed into mainstream pop production credit. Among the women who have reshaped the modern progressive scene, Miss Monique is currently the most internationally visible.
