Dennis Sheperd

Dennis Sheperd is a German DJ and producer from Essen who launched his career in 2007 with the debut single "A Tribute To Life", a track that received early broadcast support from Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, and Markus Schulz. He was subsequently signed to Kyau & Albert's Euphonic Records, which described him at the time as one of Germany's emerging progressive-trance producers. His 2009 output included three releases that established the catalogue across multiple imprints: "Black Sun" on Euphonic, "Somehow" with tyDi featuring Marcie on Armada Music, and "Freefalling" with Cold Blue on High Contrast Recordings. The 2011 collaboration "Fallen Angel" with Cold Blue featuring Ana Criado (Dennis Sheperd Club Mix) reached number one on the Beatport Trance chart and remains one of the most-referenced uplifting-trance vocal tracks of the early 2010s. The catalogue now spans four artist albums, with releases distributed via Armada Music, Anjunabeats, Spinnin' Records, Enhanced Music, and Black Hole Recordings, alongside remix work for Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Gareth Emery, Tiësto, Kyau & Albert, and tyDi. In 2022 he co-mixed the In Search of Sunrise 18 compilation with Markus Schulz and Matt Fax for Black Hole's Songbird sub-label — a series originally fronted by Tiësto — and contributed six original productions to the set. His third artist album "Find the Sunrise" was released on Black Hole Recordings in 2024. He is currently based in Sofia, Bulgaria, and has accumulated over 50 million Spotify streams across the catalogue.
