Biography

Omnia is the recording name of Ukrainian DJ and producer Evgeny Smirnov, born 18 May 1987 in Donetsk. He began producing in 2006 at the age of nineteen and by the end of that decade his tracks and remixes were already being played out by Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz and Above & Beyond. He signed to Armada Music and the affiliated Coldharbour Recordings, and his trajectory through the early 2010s placed him at the centre of the Armada-Coldharbour editorial axis that defined a substantial portion of the ASOT main-stage repertoire across the 2012–2014 period. The catalogue's first peak ran through three Coldharbour anchors. "Infina" (2012) was the breakthrough solo single; "The Fusion" with IRA followed in March 2012 on Coldharbour Recordings and became one of the year's most-played anthems in the Coldharbour / ASOT circuit; "The Light" arrived in March 2013 on Coldharbour and pushed the project further into the upper Beatport Trance chart positions. Armada then anchored the next phase — "Halo" (2013) featuring Melissa Loretta and "For The First Time" (2014) featuring Tilde signalled the deliberate shift toward vocal-led, progressive-leaning material that mirrored the broader Armada catalogue's direction during the mid-2010s. He entered the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll at #58 in 2012 — the first Ukrainian DJ ever to do so — and rose to #48 in 2013, with further appearances across the mid-2010s. Within the trance ecosystem Omnia sits in the Armada-Coldharbour uplifting / progressive crossover wing — the lane that runs through Andrew Rayel and parallel-track Coldharbour-aligned producers including KhoMha. His sets across Tomorrowland, Ultra, and ASOT main-stage line-ups across the 2010s carried him well past the regional-DJ category his Donetsk origin might have suggested, and the back catalogue has continued to circulate widely through ASOT editions and the Armada / Coldharbour radio-show ecosystem in the years since.

Sound Style

Modern uplifting trance with progressive-house arrangement leanings — melodic-emphasis breakdowns, the Armada / Coldharbour-aligned production polish that defined the 2012–2014 ASOT mainline, and a mid-2010s shift toward more vocal-led, progressive-leaning material as the broader Armada catalogue moved in the same direction.
