Biography

Ørjan Nilsen, born in Hammerfest in 1982, is one of the longest-serving members of the Armada Music / In My Opinion roster. His catalogue spans uplifting, progressive, electro and mainstage tracks, and he has been a consistent presence on A State of Trance episodes since the late 2000s. Major releases include "Between the Rays" (2009), "La Guitarra" (2010), the 2012 album So Long Radio, and "Iconic" (2014) — a span that covers the genre's late-2000s peak through the mid-2010s mainstage era. His 2014 collaboration with Armin van Buuren on the In My Opinion sub-label cycle and his frequent ASOT festival edition appearances place him among the core ASOT artists of the Armada modern era.

Sound Style

Genre-spanning trance — uplifting, progressive, electro, and big-room sit comfortably side-by-side in the same set, with strong melodic ear and the kind of arrangement craft that Armada's late-2000s peak refined.
