Selador Recordings was co-founded in 2011 by British DJ-producers Steve Parry and Dave Seaman, both of whom carried decades of progressive credibility into the project — Seaman from his 1990s Brothers in Rhythm / Renaissance / DMC era, Parry from his Liverpool-based Renaissance and Bedrock-adjacent residency work. The label was conceived as a focused boutique outlet rather than a release-volume operation, with editorial discipline centred on the long-form progressive house and progressive trance crossover that the founders' personal taste prioritises. Selador's catalogue spans original singles and EPs from Parry and Seaman themselves, plus curated work from progressive specialists across the UK, mainland Europe, and the global Sudbeat / Anjunadeep / Bedrock-adjacent scene. The Selador Sounds compilation series functions as the label's primary editorial document, and the Selador event brand has hosted touring nights at boutique venues across the UK and mainland EU. Selador sits comfortably in the same sound-world as the Bedrock and Sudbeat families — patient, harmonically detailed, structurally generous progressive material — while keeping a tighter, more author-driven identity.
