Ahmed Helmy

Ahmed Helmy is a DJ and producer from Alexandria, Egypt, who emerged onto the international trance circuit in the mid-2010s and has since built one of the more visibly multi-label catalogues to come out of the Egyptian trance pipeline. His releases run across Armin van Buuren's Armada Music and the Armind sub-label, Tiësto's Black Hole Recordings, Aly & Fila's AVA Recordings, RazNitzan Music, Mhammed El Alami's Suanda Music, and his own Futurising Music label, which he founded in 2022 as a platform for trance, future-rave, techno and melodic-house material. The catalogue's earlier signature release was "Helena" (2018) with fellow Suanda Music artist Mhammed El Alami, which carried Helmy across the FSOE / Suanda festival circuit and onto A State of Trance editorial play. The solo single "Symphony" (2020, Suanda Music) extended that profile, and a career-marker moment arrived when Armin van Buuren chose Helmy as the official remixer for the ASOT classic "Full Focus". Across the 2020s the project has accelerated through two parallel channels: the Armada / Armind line — culminating in the March 2023 Armada release "Rhythm Inside" co-produced with Armin van Buuren, included on Armin's "Feel Again" album, and the 2024 Armind single "Afterlife" — and his own Futurising Music imprint, where the chart-topping "R4VE 101" (October 2022) launched a recurring "R4VE Series" of tracks that defines the project's contemporary direction. The 2026 release "King's Secret Garden" continues the run on Futurising Music Limited. Within the trance ecosystem Ahmed Helmy sits between the FSOE-Suanda uplifting wing and the Armada mainstage line — closer to the Armada / Armind editorial direction than to the FSOE 138 core, with the Futurising R4VE register extending into the same future-rave-meets-uplifting hybrid that Armin van Buuren's recent catalogue has explored. Armin has publicly flagged Helmy as "one of the rising stars in trance" on ASOT 848 and "one of the guys on fire at that moment" on ASOT 839.
