Biography

Flashover Recordings was founded in 2005 by Ferry Corsten as a vehicle for his own productions and a platform for trance and progressive artists aligned with his sensibility. By 2005 Ferry was already a 15-year veteran with a deep catalogue across his Moonman, System F, and Gouryella aliases, and Flashover gave him a fully independent home for the next chapter of his work. The label has released Ferry Corsten's most important post-2005 albums — Twice in a Blue Moon (2008), WKND (2012), Blueprint (2017) — and serves as the publishing home for his Corsten's Countdown weekly radio show, which premiered in 2007 and has run continuously since. Flashover has also signed and developed artists including First State, Sylvia Tosun, Aruna, and many vocalists and producers Ferry has championed. The label's UNITY project (2020) was a year-long collaboration series with Cosmic Gate, Saad Ayub, Solis & Sean Truby and others — a celebration of the trance community during global lockdown. Flashover remains tightly curated and consistently respected within the genre.
