Driftmoon

Driftmoon is a Finnish-Slovakian uplifting trance duo composed of Miikka Leinonen (Finland) and Juraj Klička (Slovakia). The project's editorial home is Abora Recordings — the long-running orchestral / uplifting / progressive trance imprint where Juraj Klička also serves as A&R Manager — and the duo runs their own sub-imprint Driftmoon Audio under the Abora umbrella to showcase their full stylistic range from cinematic orchestral material through to dancefloor uplifting. Their discography includes the studio albums (R)Evolution (2016), Invictus (2020), and Moonstruck (2024). Invictus in particular is a story-driven 20-track set featuring collaborations with Eco, Robert Nickson, Julie Thompson, Ferry Tayle, and Giuseppe Ottaviani among others — a collaborator list that maps the duo's position in the orchestral-uplifting wing of the scene. They have had early support from Armin van Buuren on A State of Trance, with additional releases across FSOE and Ferry Tayle's Always Alive Recordings, and they have continued to release through the 2020s with the project still firmly anchored to the Abora editorial line. Within the trance ecosystem Driftmoon belong to the cinematic / orchestral wing — the lane where Ferry Tayle, Darren Porter and the wider Always Alive / Abora rosters operate. That lane has stayed editorially distinct from both the FSOE 138 mainline and the Anjunabeats progressive school, and Driftmoon are one of the projects defining its current shape.
