Damaged Records

Damaged Records was founded in 2014 by Irish DJ-producer Bryan Kearney, originally as a sub-imprint of his earlier Kearnage Recordings operation. The label was set up specifically as a home for the harder, faster, technically aggressive end of 138 BPM trance — the tech-uplifting and hard-trance hybrid sound that Kearney had been pioneering through his Karnage Sessions radio show and Kearnage Recordings releases. Damaged has become a key hub for the harder side of modern trance, releasing material from Bryan Kearney himself, Will Atkinson, Allen Watts, James Cottle, John Askew, and many others in the 138 BPM hard community. The Damaged Goods compilation series and the Damaged Radio weekly show document the label's editorial direction. The associated Damaged Australia event series — built around Australia's surprisingly active hard-trance fanbase — has become one of the most respected harder-trance event franchises globally. Alongside Subculture, FSOE, and Outburst Records, Damaged is one of the four flagship modern labels keeping the harder, faster, more uncompromising side of trance alive in the 2020s.
