XiJaro & Pitch

XiJaro & Pitch are a Dutch-Belgian uplifting trance duo composed of Xander van Dommelen (XiJaro, Netherlands) and Anthony Reyers (Pitch, Belgium). Anthony is a blind Belgian DJ — a detail that has been part of the duo's public identity since they formed in 2014. They came together specifically to produce uplifting trance, and the project has spent the decade since racking up releases on essentially every label that defines the modern uplifting wing of the genre. Their catalogue spans Aly & Fila's Future Sound of Egypt and the FSOE-affiliated Who's Afraid Of 138?!, John O'Callaghan's Subculture, Marcel Woods' Grotesque, Sander van Doorn's Rielism, AVA White, and Abora Recordings. Support has come from Armin van Buuren, John O'Callaghan, Aly & Fila, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Menno de Jong, Sean Tyas, and RAM, which is roughly a complete read of the uplifting / 138 producer-DJ network the duo operates within. The February 2026 FSOE release "I Have Friends Everywhere" — 140 BPM, premiered on FSOE 952 — is one of the more recent high-profile placements and was featured in our March 2026 chart article alongside the FSOE Argento launch and the Push reactivation. Alongside the studio work they host the monthly Open Minds podcast / radio show, which moves across deep house, progressive, big-room, tech, uplifting trance and drum & bass. Within the trance ecosystem XiJaro & Pitch sit in the FSOE / 138 wing — the lane defined by Aly & Fila's editorial direction, the Who's Afraid Of 138?! sub-label, and the wider Subculture / Pure Trance / Grotesque circuit. They are one of the more consistent names that has stayed in that lane through both the late-2010s peak and the current revival period.
